LAUER <br />3165 NORTH SHf - DRIVE <br />VARIANCE <br />PUBLIC HEARING 8:25 P.M. - 8:30 P.M. <br />The Affidavit of Publication and Certificate of Mailing were <br />noted. <br />Applicant was present for this natter. <br />Zoning Administrator i4abusth stated that the applicant was <br />seeking approval for a ha- lccver variance for an addition that <br />will not encroach in the average lakeshore setback cr 75' <br />lakeshore setback areas. The variance would allow a 1.89% <br />hardcover increase in the 75-250' setback area. The project will <br />not require major excavation or land alterations. <br />Bellows asked for readable plans. Mabusth stated that the <br />sketch showing the proposal was staff's sketch. An updated <br />survey showing the driveway was not submitted with the <br />application. Bellows admunishod the Zoning Department for <br />accepting incomplete plans. Applicant stated that he was not <br />aware that the City required any further information. Mabusth <br />noted for both applicant and Commission members that the land use <br />application clearly states that a survey is required. Kelley <br />suggested revising the variance application. He wanted to change <br />item #4 under "Required Submittals" to incluCe the language <br />"current and proposed". <br />Mr. Laker stated that Le had reviewed the staff's drawings <br />and felt that they were correct. Mabusth stated that the <br />applicant showed 24a s.f. more hardcover than ff's <br />calculations. Johnscn asked if the 1.89% hardcover inci was <br />based upoi staff's ::alculation,, Mabusth stated 1 the <br />percentage was based upon applicant's calculations, sLaff's <br />percentage was less. <br />There were no comments from the public regarding this matter <br />and the public hearing was closed. <br />It was moved by Cohen, seconded by Moos, to recommend <br />approval of 01112, per staff's recommendations and option B <br />regarding conditions of approval. Cohen asked Mabusth what <br />percentage of hardcover needed to be removed from the 150- 500' <br />zone. Mabusth stated that applicant nuld remove 1.89% hardcover <br />by removing accessory structures iY a 250-500' zone. Mabusth <br />asked applicant if he was lamilia th the language preceaed <br />with an asterik that stated that -Ae hardcover variance was <br />10 <br />
