- Development within existing capacities. In developing
alternatives for this area, the Consultant presented 4
0
schemes for development in this area. In addition, the most #
affected property owners presented their own development
scheme. The first 4 schemes provide for frontage road f
connection between Old Crystal Bay Road and willow Drive and
jother circulation to the site, together with retention of
L appropriate wetlands. Such developments are within the realm
of "existing capacities" without requiring substantial
capital investment to any metropolitan systems. The first
four schemes represent varyirg degrees of transition from
commercial along Highway 12 --o multi -residential up to the
wetlands with low density s-_ngle family between the wetlands
and County Road 6.
Scheme 5, as proposed by the property owners, would necessitate
the construction of a new sewer line to the Long Lake plant, with
resulting sewer units in the range of approximately 1,200. This
may still be within existing metropolitan interceptor capacity
but would put a greater burden on the system than the selected
1!
alternative.
J
A
42
