Mr. Werner was informed <br />of staff's request that the shed be removed as <br />the garage would be of sufficient size for storage. <br />The applicant is requesting a front yard setback <br />of 24' which is a variance of 6' as well as a <br />hardcover variance. <br />Wilson moved to approve the variance as requested <br />subject to: <br />1. Letter from Gordon Coffin verifying 75' lakeshore <br />setback. so staff can recheck the hardcover <br />calculations. <br />2. Shed must be removed by final inspection of the <br />garage. <br />Motion seconded by Adams. Vote: Ayes (7), Nays (0). <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Mr. and Mrs. Molde were present. Mr. and Mrs. <br />Nyquist, 1432 Baldur Park Road, were present and <br />stated that they had no objections to the proposed <br />addition. The main issue was increasing the amount <br />of hardcover within 75' of the lake. It was also <br />discussed that if the lots were combined the hardcover <br />variance would be less than the 7% requested. <br />Hammerel moved to approve the variance request siting <br />the hardship of the configuration of the existing <br />structure, that the addition will not extend any <br />farther toward the 'lake, and the size will not effect <br />drainage. Motion seconded by Wilson. Vote: Ayes (5), <br />Nays (2). <br />Hannah felt that since he has been on the Commission, <br />generally the policy has been whenevor possible not to <br />grant building within 75' of the lake. <br />Hurr felt the approval was inconsistent with previous <br />Planning ConIIn- s i on decisions. <br />JIM P.
