MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD OCTOBER 28, 1985. PACE 5 <br />(E77"�JN WEKNER <br />I.DUR PARK ROAD <br />VARIANCE <br />RESOLUTION 11878 <br />Jim Werner was present for this matter. <br />City Administrator Bernhardson explained the request for <br />side setback, average setback, and hardcover variances to <br />construct additions to the front and rear of the house. <br />Councilmember Frahm stated that he felt letters of approval <br />should be submitted from the neighbors when sight is being <br />enfringed upon. <br />It was noted that Planning Commission recommended approval <br />subject to no increase in hardcover above the existing 36.5% <br />mark because there are suf f icent areas of rock beds that can <br />be made non -hardcover as a tradeoff. <br />It was moved by Mayor Butler, seconded by Councilmember <br />Hammerel, to adopt Resolution #1878 approving the side <br />setback and average setback variances subject to the <br />following prior to issuance of the building permit: <br />1) letters of approval from both effected neighbors <br />2) staff being satisfied with the hardcover trade-offs <br />3) applicant to supply a consistent set of building plans <br />Motion, Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />Mr. Werner took this moment to publicly commend Assistant <br />Zoning Administrator Gaf f ron on his good work in thi s matter. <br />i978 MICHAEL McENENY <br />2497 - 2503 KEI.LY AVENUE <br />VARIANCE <br />RESOLUTION #1879 <br />Michael McEneny was present representing the Navarre Cove <br />Homeowners Association. <br />City Administrator Beinhardson explained the request to <br />construct a 2-1/2 car garage on Outlot A (a lot without a <br />principal structure) for use by the Navarre Cove Homeowners <br />Association. <br />Assistant Zoning Administrator Gaff ron noted an additional <br />condition to the proposed resolution stating that the <br />"Building permit for the garage will be issued only to the <br />Navarre Cove Homeowner' a Association as "propertyowner"and <br />their agent as "bui ldEr", only upon receipt of a resolution <br />of approval of the garage from said Association, signed by <br />the members of said Association". <br />it was moved by Councilmember Frahm, seconded by <br />Councilmember 11ammereI, to.adopt Resolution 01879 approving <br />the variance. Motion, Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />
