AGENDA ITEM <br />Date: September 22, 2025 <br />Title: Accept Resignation of Police Officer <br />Presenter: Correy Farniok, Police Chief <br />Section: Consent Agenda <br />Item: 8 <br />Purpose: <br />The purpose of this action item is to gain approval accepting Officer Kyle Kirschner's resignation. <br />2. Background: <br />Kyle Kirschner was hired as a community service officer on March 18, 2013. He was promoted to <br />police officer on February 16, 2016. Kyle Kirschner has accepted position of police sergeant with <br />the City of Wayzata and has submitted a letter of resignation from the position as police officer <br />effective October 2, 2025. <br />3. Staff Recommendation: <br />I recommend accepting the resignation of Kyle Kirschner effective October 2, 2025. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion to approve the resignation of Kyle Kirschner effective October 2, 2025 and authorize the <br />recruitment for the position of police officer. <br />75 <br />
