i <br />11 <br />SAFETY/ISSUE <br />- Jurisdiction <br />- Enforcement <br />- Sheriff <br />- Prosecution <br />RECOMMENDATIONS <br />-The following represent recommendations regarding <br />various issues in front of the Council for both present and <br />future consideration. <br />1. North Shore Drive - It is recommended that: <br />a.) Staff work with residents to continue to monitor <br />the problems that are 6 to 8 tines out of the year. <br />b.) Tnat the City not commit those reserved slots <br />with LMCD until such time as there is a desionatrated: <br />need for additionally committed parking contigent on <br />other community's commitments and appropriate r <br />geographic distribution of access. <br />2. Public Access - That the City in conjunction with w <br />the Metropolitan Council and other lake com�munities work ..' <br />to assist in the public access siting to the extent that y <br />additional sites for boating distribution purposes ace ; <br />appropriate for both distribution and packing. <br />Additionally it is recommended that the Council <br />encourage adequate parking spots be obtained near the <br />Mound site. <br />'- <br />3. Look for Additional Ramp Plow Spots <br />a.) Private access <br />b.) Evaluate current ramp use and parking at those <br />sites <br />4. BOATING WAILS INTOXICATED - Mork and encourage LMCD y� <br />and Legislature to pass appropriate legislation, at least for =j <br />Laka Minnetonka, to make it a managable situation. <br />5. Jurisdiction - In accordance with enabling <br />legislation for LMCD have Orono enter into a contract to enforce 49 <br />the applicable ordinances that it desires to enforce with the <br />L `!C D L' <br />done: <br />6.
