MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />Monday, September 28, 2015 <br />7:00 o'clock p.m. <br />10. #15-3773 STEVE ELLIOT, 1400 BALDOR PARK ROAD, CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />AND VARIANCE -PUBLIC HEARING-RESOLUTION NO. 6546 (continued) <br />Levang asked if the applicants are essentially rebuilding in kind. <br />Barnhart stated this application meets all other ordinances and that they are requesting the conditional use <br />permit to fill in the floodplain and the variance. <br />Levang asked if the Planning Commission reviewed the variance request. <br />Barnhart stated they did not. <br />Mayor McMillan opened the public hearing at 8:47 p.m. <br />There were no public comments regarding this application. <br />Mayor McMillan closed the public hearing at 8:47 p.m. <br />Walsh moved, Printup seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 6546, a Resolution Granting <br />Variances from Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-1119(a) and a Conditional Use Permit Pursuant <br />to Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-1116(5), for the property located at 1400 Baldor Park Road. <br />VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />#15-3775 CITY OF ORONO, TEXT AMENDMENT REGARDING TEMPORARY fiIGNS <br />ance No. 159 // <br />/ <br />_,,.// <br />Barnhart no the City Council reviewed this text amendment at their September 11m:eeting. The City <br />Council express concerns with the ordinance as it related to the definition of~ neutral and the <br />signage changes pro ed in the residential area. / <br />/// <br />Barnhart stated the ordinance ends the sign ordinance in several ~ and accomplishes the following: <br />✓/ <br />/ <br />Removes private signage froni · right-of-way. /// <br />,/'/,....,..,// <br />1. <br />2.
