��, ram• y+. "lt.. �, `�'. <br />March 9, 2001 <br />Orono City Council <br />We are requesting an after -the -fact variance on the overhang on a portico that was just added to <br />our house. We understand the overhang is considered hardcover thereby requiring a variance. <br />A new addition over our garage created a hazardous condition with run off freezing on our front <br />entrance walk. Another solution would have been to add a gutter in this area but the builder did <br />not recommend it because of our advanced age and the fact it would be quite high in order to <br />clean and keep the area from becoming hazardous again. <br />A change would not only be costly for us but also not completely solve the problem of the <br />drainage being away from the walk. <br />Wr <br />I'ichard <br />96 Baldur Park '• <br />Orono, MN 55391 <br />
