It is the opinion <br />of the City Engineer that widening from the current 16-20 feet <br />width to 24' would not have a significantly greater impact on <br />trees over the 22' width. The cost of study would be similar. <br />The Council could later choose to reduce it to 22' prior to <br />ordering this project if it appeared to have significant <br />detrimental impact. (In the alternative, the Council could <br />direct the study at 22' and later make the decision to order the <br />project in 3t 24' with no significant cost increase of the <br />study.) <br />
