4-rrr_ "et/r /•t <br />STATE DEPARTMENTS APPROPRIATIONS BILL <br />24 Sec. 25. (REGIONAL PARK ACQUISITION.] <br />25 Subdivision 1. (LEGISLATIVE FINDINGS.) The legislature <br />26 finds that there is a need for a regional park on Lake <br />27 Minnetonka to serve the recreation open space needs of the <br />28 citizens of the entire metropolitan area and that it is in the <br />29 public interest to authorize acquisition of land for such a park <br />30 in accordance with the master plan approved by the metropolitan <br />31 council. <br />32 Subd. 2. (ACQUISITION.] Notwithstanding any contrary <br />33 provision of law, the suburban Hennepin regional park district <br />34 may acquire real property for a Lake Minnetonka regional park by <br />35 purchase, gift, or eminent domain purs.iart to Minnesota <br />36 Statutes, chapter 117, without local consent or approval by any <br />37 affected municipality or other local governmental unit. <br />38 Subd. 3. (METROPOLITAN COUNCIL APPROVAL.)
