MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE SCHOOL BOARD <br />OF ORONO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 278 <br />HELD ON JULY 11, 1988 <br />The annual meeting of the School Board of Oreno Independent School District No. <br />278 was held on Monday, July 11, 1988. <br />Present: Dave McKown James Franklin Thomas Mich <br />Kitty Crosby John Maresh William Ferholt <br />Absent: Don Anderson <br />Lucie Taylor <br />The meeting was called to order and nominations for chairperson were requested <br />by Dr. Mich. <br />UPON MOTION by Jim Franklin, seconded by John Maresh, Dave McKown was nominated <br />for chairperson and was elected by unanimous ballot. <br />UPON MOTION by John Maresh, seconded by Kitty Crosby, Don Anderson was nominated <br />for vice chairperson. Jim Franklin MOVED, John Maresh seconded that nominations <br />cease and Mr. Anderson was elected by unanimous ballot. <br />UPON MOTION by Jim Franklin, seconded by John Maresh, the yearly -'alary for <br />Clerk was established as $500. <br />UPON MOTION by Kitty Crosby, seconded by Jim Franklin, the yearly salary for <br />Treasurer was established as $100. <br />UPON MOTION by Jim Franklin, seconded by John Maresh, Kitty Crosby was nominated <br />for clerk. John Maresh MOVED, Jim Franklin seconded that nominations cease and <br />Mrs. Crosby was elected by unanimous ballot. <br />UPON MOTION by Kitty Crosby, seconded by Jim Franklin, Lucie Taylor was nomi- <br />nated for treasurer. i'.itty Crosby MOVED, Jim Franklin seconded that nominations <br />cease and Lucie Taylor was electea by unanimous ballot. <br />UPON MOTION by Kitty Crosby, seconded by John Maresh, the Board of Education <br />authorized the use of signing plates for officers for 1988-89. <br />UPON MOTION by Jim Franklin, seconded by Kitty Crosby, the consent agenda was <br />approved as `oliows: <br />- approved the minutes of the June 13, 1988 regular meeting; <br />- approved the appointment of Michael J. Preble as second grade teacher at <br />Schumann Elementary School; <br />- approved the appointment of William Rosati as second grade teacher at <br />Schumann Elementary School; <br />- set the coordinator stipend at $7,500 and $4,000 for the positions of com- <br />puter coordinator and staff development coordinator respectively; <br />- approved continued membership in E.C.S.U. for the 1988-89 school year; <br />- approved continued membership in AMSD for the 1988-89 school year; <br />- agreed to participate in Chepter I and authorized an LEA representative in <br />
