Percolation Rate, Type of System. <br />60 minutes per inch on the primary site. Pressure Mound System. <br />These rates were obtained by Carl Borg who tested the subdivi- <br />sion. This design is based on those rates only and it is agreed <br />that that these results have not been verified by us. <br />2. Proposed Flow Rate. <br />4 bedrooms @ 150 G.P.D. = 600 G.P.D. <br />3. Proposed Rock Bed Area Needed. <br />600 G.P.D. x 0.83 factor for using a minimum 12" depth of clean <br />sand under the rock bed = 500 Sq. Ft. or a 10' x 50' bed. <br />4. Dike Measurements based on Basal Width. <br />Basal Width ratio = 5.0 tirr2s 10' wide bed = 50'. Because the <br />average slope is slightly greater than 3%, the downslope width <br />can only be used and needs to be 50'-10' rock bed = 40' which <br />is also greater than a 4:1 slope, so is all right. The other <br />sides of the dike should be at least 4:1 slopes or out at least <br />12 feet. <br />5. Septic Tanks. <br />Two septic t%nks, of at least 1000 and 750 gallons respectively <br />are needed _. addition to a third pumping tank to house the <br />pump. Also, an alarm system is needed to warn of pump failure. <br />6. Distribution. <br />Distribution is to be by pressure to 3 perforated laterals in <br />the rock bed spaced 40" apart. <br />7. Additional Information. <br />All construction and materials must adhere to the provisions of <br />the City of Orono.
