Thompson and Deborah Thompson, husband and wife <br /> (hereina$er"the applicants")are the owners of the property located at 90 Myrtlewood Road within <br /> the City of Orono (hereinafter the "City") and legally described as follows: <br /> Lot 7,Block 1,MYRTLEWOOD,Hennepin County,Minnesota <br /> • � � (hereinafter the "property"); and <br /> WHEREAS,the applicants have made application to the City of Orono for a variance <br /> to Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 10.28 Subdivision SB to allow construction of a 996 s.f. <br /> detached garage/pool house/storage building,23.1'from the side street lot line where a 50'side street <br /> setback is required; and a variance to Section 10.03 Subd. 9(C)(2)to allow the new building to be <br /> attached to the existing 848 s.f. detached garage via an 11'x 15' (165 s.f.) greenhouse, for a final <br /> accessory structure size of 2009 s.f.,when no accessory building larger than 1000 s.f.is allowed on <br /> a lot of 0-1.99 acres in area; and a variance to Section 10.28 Subd. 5(B)to allow the construction of <br /> a 20'x 45'(900 s.f.)in-ground swimming pool 10'from the side street lot line where a 50'side street <br /> setback is normally required; and a conditional use pernut(CUP)per Section 10.20 Subd. 3Q for <br /> plumbing in an accessory building. <br /> � NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br /> Minnesota: <br /> FINDINGS <br /> 1: This application was reviewed as Zoning File#03-2919. <br /> 2. The property is located in the RR-1B Rural Residential Zoning District, which <br /> requires minimum lot area of 2.0 acres and minimum lot width of 200'.
