icL°Ivo <br /> CITY OF ORONO <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> i. <br /> *IL- <br /> G <br /> NO. 7615 <br /> kES H O-` <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING <br /> AN OPTICAL TRANSPORT NETWORKING (OTN) SITE LEASE <br /> WHEREAS, the Orono Housing and Redevelopment Authority ("Authority") is a public <br /> body corporate and politic, and a political subdivision of the State of Minnesota; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Authority is the fee owner of certain real property located at 2700 Kelley <br /> Parkway, in the City of Orono, County of Hennepin, State of Minnesota (PID: 33.118.23.12.0007), <br /> which is legally described as Lot 1, Block 1, City of Orono Addition, Hennepin County, Minnesota; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, Midcontinent Communications is a South Dakota general partnership that <br /> provides telecommunications services in Minnesota and has a principal place of business at 4020 <br /> West Cayman Street, Sioux Falls, SD 57107; and <br /> WHEREAS, Midcontinent Communications wishes to lease a portion of the Authority's <br /> property for the purpose of constructing and maintaining a structure for its OTN facilities to serve <br /> customers in and around the City of Orono, which structure will measure approximately 16 x 30 <br /> feet, with a seven-foot concrete stoop; and <br /> WHEREAS, the terms and conditions of this use of the Authority's property are set forth <br /> in that certain Optical Transport Networking (OTN) Site Lease, attached hereto; and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Orono Housing and Redevelopment <br /> Authority Board of Commissioners and the Orono Housing and Redevelopment Authority as <br /> follows: <br /> 1) The Optical Transport Networking (OTN) Site Lease is approved; and <br /> 2) The Authority Board Chair and Executive Director are authorized to execute the Lease <br /> and the Memorandum of Lease. <br /> Adopted by the City Council of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting held on <br /> September 8, 2025 <br /> ATTEST- CITY OF ORONO <br /> Ch ' . e Lusian y Clerk Bob Tunheim, Mayor <br />
