Orono's cost is projected at about <br /> $54,500 after trade-ins. <br /> The Council discussed the items and asked questions of staff. <br /> Ricks moved,Schwingler seconded,to authorize the expenditure of up to $54,500 for the purchase <br /> of the SCBA equipment. VOTE: Ayes 5,Nays 0. <br /> Persian explained that the additional item he wanted to bring up was being cautious with purchases for the <br /> Fire Department as it transitions to a joint department, in particular, anything that includes graphics that <br /> would identify it as OFD, Orono Fire Department. <br /> Persian moved,Benson seconded that any purchase of fire department equipment that would <br /> include name graphics that would not align with the new fire department name come to the Council <br /> for consideration.VOTE: Ayes 5,Nays 0. <br /> COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> 14. Upcoming Work Session and Council Training Schedule <br /> Benson presented a possible series of topics for upcoming work sessions/Council training and asked for <br /> input. <br /> The Council discussed the items and asked questions of staff. <br /> Councilmembers were generally in favor of the plan and will be asked to give input for an October <br /> session. <br /> 15. Council Committee and Board Reports <br /> Tunheim reported on the Fire Advisory Board Meeting. <br /> CLOSED SESSION <br /> 16. Annual Performance Review of the City Administrator <br /> Benson moved,Ricks seconded,to enter into closed session at 8:58 p.m., as permitted by Section <br /> 13D.05 Subd.3(a)to continue the Annual Performance Review of the City Administrator. VOTE: <br /> Ayes 5,Nays 0. <br /> (The City Council was in closed session from 8:58 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.) <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> Benson moved,Ricks seconded, to adjourn the meeting at 9:45 p.m. to Monday,Sept 8,2025, at <br /> 6:00 p.m.VOTE: Ayes 5,Nays 0. <br /> Page 4 of 5 <br />
