MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL HEFTING HELD JUNE 13, 1988 <br />EMPLOYMENT - SUMMER SEPTIC INSPECTOR <br />Councilmember Peterson questioned why staff is <br />requesting employment of a summer septic inspector for <br />15 weeks this year rather than the 11 weeks for the <br />1987 summer? <br />Zoning Administrator Mabusth stated that 15 weeks are <br />budgeted for this year and noted that last year's <br />inspector also worked with lane ;rse applications so a <br />few more weeks are needed to make up for lost inspection <br />time last summer. <br />It was moved by Councilmember Peterson, seconded by <br />Councilmember Goetten, to approve the hiring of Pam <br />Farr, a temporary full-time aide for the Septic On -Site <br />Program for the period beginning June 15, 1988 through <br />September 23, 1988 at an hourly wage of $7.00. Renner 6 Sons, Inc. ir• amount of $595.58. <br />Motion, Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />PUBLIC WORKS EMPLOYMENT* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Sime, seconded by <br />Councilmember Goetten, to employ Barry Rathbun as a <br />Public Works utility maintenance worker at an hourly <br />rate of $10.28 per hoar effective upon a favorable <br />physical examination and stress test; and to employ <br />Randy O'Brien as a Public works utility maintenance <br />worker at an hourly rate of $10.00 per hour effective <br />upon a favorable physical examination and stress test. <br />Motion, Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />SALARY ADJUSTMENT - DAN FISCHENICH* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Sime, seconded by <br />Councilmember Goetten, the Orono City Council approves <br />the increase for Officer Dan Fischenich from $13.645 to <br />$15.161 per hour based on the 1987 labor agreement. <br />This increase has no effect on any subsequent longevity <br />which is mea=lied from time in service with the City of <br />Orono.
