We have no objections to any of <br />the conditions contained in the Planning Commission <br />resolution. <br />"We respectfully request that yf)u act favorably <br />on our request for this conditional use permit." <br />End of letter. <br />Council Meeting - July 14, 1980 <br />Mayor Van Nest: The City's concerns are r"ny when <br />considering the development of commercial uses in a <br />residential area. The streets in this area will <br />not accommodate futur^ commercial uses and the Ie-,-)osr <br />structure will have an adverse effect on property <br />values. This is not compatible with the existing <br />neighborhood. <br />Mr. Mortenson: We will abide with r•strictions the <br />City might impose. <br />Mayor Van Nest moved, Butler seconded, to give <br />conceptual approval of a resolution denying conditional <br />use permit as amended outlining the City's concerns <br />with generation of commercial traffic in a residential <br />area, inadequate streets and parking, diminution of <br />property values affected by commercial uses in a <br />residential area, general public safety concerns. <br />Resolution to be submitted for Council approval at their <br />July 28, 1980 Council meeting. Nineteen <br />parcels have existing residences, of these 19: <br />- 3 have made major repairs to their systems in the <br />last two years <br />- 1 is a cabin with no septic system or plumbing <br />(Continued) <br />
