ORDINANCE NO. 252 <br /> AN�ENDING THE ORONU NIUNICIPAL CCDE RELATING TO <br /> MISD EMEANORS <br /> WHEREAS, the Orono City Council has adopted an am�ndment to <br /> the Orono Municipal code relating to misdemeanor penalties on <br /> November 14 , 1983; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Orono City Council has determined that <br /> publication of the title and a summary of the ordinance woula <br /> clearly inform the public of the intent and effect of the <br /> ordinance; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Grono City Council has reviewed the text of the <br /> ordinance summary and finds that it clearly informs the public of <br /> the intent and effect af the ordinance, as follows: <br /> SUMMARY - ORDINANCE # 252 OF THE ORONO MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> FtF;LATING TU N,ISDEN�EANORS <br /> SECTION ONE: TITLE AND PU RPOSE <br /> The Orono City Council wishes to update, per Nlinnesota <br /> Statute § 609.034 (1983) , the provisions within the municipal code <br /> which call for penalties upon conviction of misdemeanors for <br /> ordinance violations. <br /> SECTION TWO: GENERAL PRUVISIONS <br /> All provisions within the current Orono r�unicipal Code which <br /> call for penalties upon conviction of misdemeanors due to <br /> ordinance violations are changed to incorporate the current <br /> penalties for misdemeanor violations of ordinances per Minnesota <br /> Statute Section 609.034 (1983) . The penalties for a misdemeanor <br /> violation shall be a fine of no more than Seven Hundred Dollars <br /> ($700) or imprisonment for not more than ninety (90) days or both. <br /> SECTION T HREE: EFFECTUATION <br /> This ordinance is effective as of the date of ado�,tion, <br /> November �_, 1983. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT <br /> The City Clerk shall publish the title of the ordinance and <br /> the above summary, with notice that a printed copy of the <br />
