ORDINANCE N0. 2 16 <br /> Page 3 <br /> 20.030 O�anization and Enforcement The organization of the <br /> Building Department and enforcement of the Code shall be conducted within <br /> the guidelines established by Chapter 2 of the Uniform Building Code. <br /> The Code shall be enforced within the incorporated limits of the City of <br /> Orono. The Building and Zoning Department shall be the Building Code <br /> Department of the City of Orono. The Administrative Authority shall be <br /> a State Certified "Building Official" so designated by the City Council <br /> acting as the Appointing Authority. <br /> 20.040 Permits, Inspections and Fees The issuance of permits, <br /> conduction of inspections and collection of fees shall be as provided for <br /> in Chapter 3 of the Uniform Building Code. . <br /> A. Fee Schedule - Building Permit Fees shall be payable to the <br /> City of Orono prior to issuance of any permit. The amount of <br /> the permit fee shall be according to Section 303(a) and Table 3-A <br /> of the Uniform Building Code, except that the minimum permit fee <br /> shall be as established by the current city fee schedule. <br /> B. Plan Checking Fees - Plan checking fees shall be payable <br /> according to Section 303(b) of the Uniform Building Code <br /> prior to issuance of any permit requiring a plan review. <br /> C. Special Inspection Fees - Additional special inspection <br /> fees shall be payable prior to the service for inspection . <br /> without a permit, reinspection, inspection outside the city, <br /> or inspection on Big Island or Deering Island according to <br /> rates established in the current city fee schedule. <br /> D. Additional Charges - Where otherwise provided by law, . <br /> ordinance, or the current city fee schedule, the permit applicant <br /> shall pay additional charges prior to issuance of any building <br /> permit. Such charges may include, but are not limited to, <br /> park dedication fees, special assessment charges, utility access <br /> or connection charges, metropolitan sewer access charges, and <br /> zoning application fees. <br /> E. Surcharge - In addition to the permit fees required above, <br /> the applicant shall pay a surcharge in the amount fixed by law. <br /> The a�unt required by law shall be remitted quarterly to the <br /> Minnesota Department of Administration. <br />
