110. 30. Impoundment. The Village may impound any <br /> animal found at large and shall provide proper sustenance <br /> for any and all animals impounded. The police chief or <br /> � his designate8 agent shall give notice to owner (if known <br /> to him) within 24 hours , Sundays excepted. If owner is <br /> unknown, written notice shall be posted in two conspicuous <br /> places in the Village and published once in the official <br /> newspaper describing the animal and stating that said <br /> animal has been impounded. , <br /> 110 . 35. Taking Impounded Animal a Misdemeanor. No <br /> legally impounded animal shall be released except to a <br /> person displaying a receipt from the Village Clerk showing <br /> payment in full of the applicable costs listed in Section <br /> 110 . 60. If any person, without authority of law, and <br /> � without first paying the costs due, shall take any impounded <br /> animal out of the enclosure in which he is impounded, with- <br /> out such receipt, he shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. <br /> 110. 40. Disposition of Animal . If any animal is <br /> impounded and not redeemed within six days after notice • <br /> is posted or four days following published notice, whichever <br /> is later, the Village Chief of Police or his designated <br /> agent shall give three days posted notice of the time and <br /> place where the animal will be sold at public auction. <br /> 11Q . 45. Proceeds of Sale. Prcce�ds cf any salc sr�all <br /> be used to pay the total of costs and fines as listed in , <br /> � Section 110 .5Q .
