; x '� <br /> � �:. <br /> 7� - ��� � c�t� o� oR,oNo <br /> �► � � <br /> ' ��-�.'�':�� RESOWTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> � � '%�' � NO. 1380 <br /> • � • • <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SAFE AND REASONABLE <br /> SPEEDS ON PARK LANE AND ELM STREET <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Orono has received complaints <br /> from the residents on Park Lane and E1m street stating that the <br /> speed limits of 3O MPH is excessive and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Orono staff has reviewed the residents <br /> complaints, and agrees that a speed survey should be conducted, <br /> and <br /> � WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Transportation <br /> did at the request of the City of Orono conduct a speed survey <br /> • on E1m Street and Park Lane, and <br /> WHEREAS the Minnesota Department of Transportation has <br /> authorized a reduction of the speed limits on Park Lane and Elm <br /> Street. <br /> � NOW,. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Orono City <br /> � Council does hereby authorize the reduction of the speed. limit on <br /> Elm Street from 30 MPH to 20 MPH and Park Lane from 30 MPH to 15 MPH <br /> and does hereby direct the Orono Public Works Department to post <br /> those streets accordingly. <br /> Approved by the Orono City Council at a regular council meeting <br /> on Apri1 12, 1982. <br /> // i'V , fY►�.� <br /> Wi7.liam B.
