City Property - Pheasant Road Memo Dated 4/15/88 <br />B. Notice to Residents <br />ISSUE - <br />1. Determine reaction from other property owners abutting the <br />piece of property proposed for sale. <br />2. Determination of direction to staff regarding sale of the <br />property. <br />INTRODUCTION - At the Council's April 25, 1988 meeting they <br />directed staff to indicate to the property owner that they were <br />interested in the sale at the proposed figure of $1,590 plus <br />payment of legal and all other expenses related to the sale in <br />exchange for appropriate easements for the City and a guarantee <br />of easements to Mr. Huber and the Cookson property. <br />DISCUSSION - As noted in Attachment B the other -.owners abetting <br />the property have been notified of the discussion on th- matter <br />at this Council meeting. To date the staff hoc r<ceived no <br />comments from these property owners regarding this proposed sale. <br />ALTERNATIVES - <br />Issue 1. Public Comments <br />I. Hear comments <br />2. Table to a future meeting <br />Issue 2. Sale of Property <br />1. Direct staff to further pursue the sale. <br />2. Choose not to undertake a sale and further explore <br />the easement route. <br />3. Choose to do nothing. <br />4. Table for further consideration. <br />RECOMMENDATION - Absent any substantial presentation of concerns <br />by members public at the public comments section regarding this <br />matter, it is recommended that the staff be directed to further <br />explore the sale with the owner of abutting property Mr. Messer <br />under the terms outlined by the Council to include the following: <br />1. Sale to Mr. Messer. <br />2. $1,580 plus payment by Mr. Messer of all legal and <br />other expenses. <br />
