Joan Campbell asked if the proposed improve t <br />to the Long Lake lift station required a capital improvement program <br />amendment. Ed Bloom of the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission responded <br />that it would not since the improvement was already scheduled to provide <br />capacity for Maple Plain. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />That the Metropolitan Council adopt this report and the following conclusions <br />as its comments on the Highway 12 Corridor Study Plan Amendment. <br />I. That the proposed amendment expanding Orono's urban service area be found <br />consistent with the Metropolitan Development and Investment Framewcrk and <br />other chapters of the Metropolitan Development Guide. That the city <br />consider reducing its rural area dens.ty to one housing unit per ten acres <br />consistent with Council policy. <br />
