RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL ., <br /> �� NO. _ 1353 <br /> �Y-�:� REQUESTING COVEYANCE OF TAX ' <br /> • • • • FORFEIT LANDS FOR PUBLIC USE <br /> BY THE CITY OF ORONO <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Orono is a municipal corporation organized <br /> and existing under the laws of the State of Minnesota; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statute 282, the City has <br /> received from Hennepin County a list of lands within the City which <br /> have become the property of the State of Minnesota for non-payment of <br /> real estate taxes; and , , <br /> WHEREAS, the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners have <br /> classified said lands as non-conservation land and have authorized ' <br /> the sale of each such parcel of land subject to review and release by <br /> the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed said lands for <br /> compliance with local zoning ordinances, for the amount of outstanding <br /> special assessments remaining unpaid to the City, and/or for possible <br /> public use by the City as authorized by the statutes; <br /> • NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the <br /> City of Orono, pursuant to AZinnesota Statute Section 282. O1, Subdivision 1, <br /> hereby applies to the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners and to <br /> the Commissioner of Revenue for conveyance of the following tax forfeited <br /> lands to the City for roadway, park, drainage, and recreation purposes . <br /> � The City Council hereby states that such lands are substandard <br /> or otherwise unsuitable for private use and that there is a need and <br /> justifiable public purpose for said lands to be conveyed to the City: <br /> PARCELS RETAINED FOR USE BY THE CITY <br /> DISTRICT PLAT PARCEL P.
