May 24, 1993 <br />The City of Orono <br />Orono, MN <br />RE: Variance for <br />Mr. & Mrs. Ed Engler <br />3450 Birch Lane <br />Wayzata, MN 55391 <br />To Whom It May Concern; <br />We are requesting this variance for the following reasons: <br />We are growing out of the house. We need the additional space <br />because of the increase in size of our family. We have looked at <br />going up, but it is financially prohibitive. In addition, we are <br />not sure the existing structure could support it. We also feel, <br />that because the City snowplows need our driveway to turn around in <br />and use it to store snow in, that we should be granted this <br />variance. We feel that it is unfair to ask us to give up <br />hardcover, when our family needs it, in order to provide a <br />turnaround for the public. <br />ciZ;ie <br />Ed Engler
