Holding of scheduled public, hearing. <br />2. Determination of Council's response to petition and public <br />hearing comments. <br />3. If Council choses to undertake a remedy to problem identified <br />by the petition, the means chosen to rectify it. <br />4. Outline of the process to be undertaken. <br />5. Determination of preliminary financing alternatives if <br />undertaken. <br />INTRODUCTION - As noted in Attachment B the Council directed a <br />feasibil_ity study be undertaken regarding the storm water problem <br />in the Highwood area. At the Council's March 28, 1988 meeting <br />they directed staff to set up a public hearing having received <br />the feasibility study on the project. <br />DISCUSSION <br />Issue 1. Public Hearing - Appropriate notice has been sent <br />regarding the public hearing to the residence in the area <br />together with newspaper notification. <br />Issue 2. Response to Petition - The Council had received a <br />petition from�7 of the ne ighbors and it is or, this basis that the <br />Council ordered the feasibility study and established the public <br />hearing. Signers of the petition represent _ percentage of the <br />persons in the drainage area contributing their storm water <br />through this drain space. Council, if it desires, can take no <br />further action. This leaves either the situation at the status <br />quo or leaves the private parties affected to generate a private <br />solution, which may require City approval.. <br />Issue 3.
