Extension of County 116 - Public hearing <br />July 7, 1987 <br />Page 4 of 4 <br />Should the Council be interested in the extension, the City staff <br />would explore with the County the following items: <br />A. Timing of traffic control on County 6 and Willow Drive. <br />B. Installation of a traffic light at Willow and 12, at <br />least temporary lights, with the cost to eventually be borne <br />by the County and the State within one year. <br />C. That the <br />width issue <br />particularly north <br />of 6 be <br />addressed by <br />utilization <br />of an urban section <br />of road <br />(without ditches) so that the improved portions of <br />the road <br />do no encroach <br />as much into <br />those lots. (This could <br />shorten <br />up the impact <br />of the road <br />from approximately 70 <br />feet to <br />approximately <br />40 feet.) <br />D. When the County would anticipate take over. <br />RECOMMENDATION - Following the presentation by Hennepin County, <br />together with the public hearing and hearing any concerns any <br />Council members may have staff recommends that the issue be <br />tabled to the August loth meeting to research issues the Council <br />may have on this matter. <br />PROPOSED MOTION - Moved by , seconded by _, that following <br />conclusion of the public hearing and discussion by the Council <br />members on the issue that the matter be tabled until the August <br />10, 1987 meeting.
