City of Medina has explored with the County both a possible re- <br />routing of 116 over to Old Crystal Bay together with discussions <br />with the County to either terminate at County 24 or County 6. <br />The staff has been attempting to -.,-.termine the costs to the City <br />of Orono if it were constructed a5 County State Aid Road County <br />116 verses the upgrades it anticipates over the next 5 or 10 <br />years, and is presently waiting for those estimates from the <br />County. <br />ALTERNATIVES - <br />Issue 1. Consideration of Is_sue <br />1. Agree to further consider the issue. <br />2. Communicate to the City of Medina that it does not <br />desire to endorse the resolution presented at this time. <br />3. Table for further discussion. <br />Tssue 2. Table for further cussion. <br />RECOMMENDATION - It is recommended that the Council on a <br />preliminary consideration transmit a letter to the City of Medina <br />indicating that it presently is not interested in supporting the <br />resolution. <br />PROPOSED MOTION - Moved by seconded by , staff be directed <br />to indicated to the City of Medina in writing its desire not to <br />endorse the proposed resolution regarding County Road 116 and <br />encourage Medina to work with the County to terminate 116 at <br />County Road 24.
