SEARLES MERITORIOUS SERVICE <br /> AWARD CONFERRED UPON <br /> COUNCILMAN NORMAN W. PAURUS <br /> WHEREAS, the Village of Orono has individuals who <br /> contribute outstanding service to the community to help achieve <br /> basic goals that enhance and perpetuate the "quality of life" <br /> for the residents of Orono; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Village of Orono did establish the <br /> Robert L. Searles Meritorious Service Award; by Resolution #735 <br /> on December 13 , 1976 , as a method of rewarding citizens contribu- <br /> tion of an outstanding nature; and <br /> WHEREAS, Norman W. Paurus has identified, clarified and <br /> drafted into meaningful legislation the basic goals of the Village <br /> of Orono that enhance and perpetuate the "quality of 7,ife" within <br /> Orono; and <br /> • WHEREAS, Norman W. Paurus has given outstanding service <br /> to the Village of Orono during the past 10 years having served as <br /> Councilman, Planning Commission Chairman, Planning Commission Member, <br /> Director and Chairman of the Lake Minn.etonka Conservation District; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Village of Orono desires to recognize the sig- <br /> nificant contribution Norman W. Paurus has made to the :�o�reral�l"welfare <br /> of Orono. _ _ - - - - <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Robert �,.
