While the overall quantity of fill is increased from that <br /> proposed by the Munsons, the increased fill quantifies are necessary to restore a <br /> natural contour to the property. The applicant intends to restore a layer of topsoil on the <br /> site and will seed as necessary to restore ground cover in all areas impacted by the <br /> proposed fill. <br /> While a modest amount of fill is proposed in the area within 75 ft. of the Lake <br /> Minnetonka shoreline, no fill is proposed below 931.5 and all fill proposed within 75 ft. of <br /> the lakeshore is intended only to smooth out the existing contour rather than to increase <br /> the overall elevation. <br /> In support of this Application for a Land Alteration Permit, I have submitted the <br /> following: <br /> 1. Certificate of Survey showing existing and proposed contours, legal <br /> description, boundary lines and the location of trees that could be impacted by the <br /> proposed addition of fill. The survey also shows the hardcover (existing blacktop) that <br /> will be removed when fill is added; <br /> 2. Proposed fill calculations by Gronberg & Associates, Inc.; <br /> 3. City of Orono General Permit Application; <br /> 4. City of Orono Pre-Application Meeting Form; <br /> 5. City of Orono Data Privacy Advisory; <br /> 6. Previous permit, including City Engineer notes regarding Munson fill plan <br /> and study of existing conditions; and, <br /> 7.
