A new home was never built & the current applicant purchased the vacant lot. In 2009, the City granted a conditional use permit for fill to restore the property and blend it into the existing grades of the owner's adjacent residence lot. The applicant chose not to proceed at that time and the approvals expired. The current proposal is only moderately different than what was approved in 2009. The applicant is requesting CUO approval to import approximately 2,267 cubic yards of fill in order to restore the grade of the property. A portion of the fill material is already on or near the site. Administrative permits were issued to allow the applicant to bring in 500 cubic yards of fill to each of his properties in order to take advantage of material from a nearby home under construction. A new residence is not proposed at this time and the property owner proposes to remove++ a portion of the existing blacktop driveway.
