MEETING MINUTES Ill a� <br />ORONO INTERCEPTOR SEWER IMPROVEMENTS PRO f1CT MR 3 0 % <br />WEDNESDAY, MARCH 2, 1988 J �� <br />LORD PLETCHER'S OF THE LAKE <br />JoEllen Murr welcomed attendees. Diane Wenner, community organiser, <br />gave an overview of the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission (MWCC). <br />Presentations <br />Kimberly Eckhardt, project manager, gave in overview of the Orono <br />Interceptor Sews-: Improvements Project. The project involves <br />replacing components of a current system and building a parallel <br />sanitary sewer to provi— additional sewer capacity. The Orono <br />Interceptor Sewer consists of lift stations and sanitary sewers <br />serving a 1600 acre urban area. <br />Michael vnch, consulting engineer for Bonestroo Rosene Anderlik aM <br />Asoc stes, explained that the project hi.- been in the design phase <br />for t„e past one-rnd-one-half year&. Construction is expected tc <br />begin this August, at the earliest. Phase I construction will <br />primarily involve County Road Sly phase :c will involve County Road <br />19. Phase I construction meet be completed before -:hose II <br />construction i& begun. <br />Mr. Lynch reviewed the tject route. He emphasized that there are <br />two sections on the re •here the sewer will be built in the middle <br />of tl,, -oad. These are --ounty Road 51. between S,,hns Point Road and <br />Tonkawa Road: and County Road 19 and 1, between County Roa: 51 a,:d <br />Fogerness Point R„wd. While ernh of these areas is under <br />construction, the road will be entirely closed. At other points, <br />roods will be passable.
