MINUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION MRETTw, HELD MARCH 21, 1988 <br />ATTENDANCE 7:02 P.M. <br />The Orono r Commission met on the above date <br />with the f members present: Chairman Kelley, <br />Johnson, Bt. and Brown. Hanson and Cohen were <br />absent. The .,-alow_ng represented the City staff: <br />Building i Zoning Administrator Mabusth, Assistant <br />Planning a Zoning Administrator Gaffron, Building <br />Official Jacobs, and City Recorder Peterson. <br />Councilmembers Callahan, Peterson, and Goetten were also <br />present. <br />#1257 CATHERINE A. CRAM <br />3760 WATERTOWN ROAD <br />PPELIMINARY SUBDIVISION <br />PUBLIC HEARING 7:15-7i23 <br />The Affidavit of Publication and Certificate of Mailing <br />were noted. <br />Gordon Coffin, of Coffin i Gronberg Engineers and ',and <br />Surveyors, was present representing Ms. Cram. <br />Mr. Coffin explained the request for prelimina ; <br />subdivision approval of a 72 acre homestead into 3 lots. <br />Lot 1, Block 1 containb 22.27 acres with an existing <br />barn and shed (no principal structure). Lot 2, Block 1 <br />contains 30.1 acres with two residences. Lot 1, Block 2 <br />contains 18.6 acres with no structures. <br />Regarding the two residences on Lot 2, applicant at this <br />time does not wish to divide off the rental house. <br />Staff recommends that this issue be addressed if Lot 2 <br />is further subdivided. Additionally, if Lot 1, Block 1 <br />has not been sold within one year, staff recommends that <br />applicant legally combine Lot 11 Block 1 witn Lot 2, <br />Block 1; or remove the barns. If the new owner has not <br />filed a building permit application for a new residence <br />on Lot 1, Block 1 within one year of final plat approval <br />date, the accessory structures would have to be removed. <br />Mr. Coffin stated that Mrs. Cram is out of town and has <br />not been advised of staff � recommendation and he could <br />not comment on her behalf. <br />Mabusth stated that Mrs. Cram is anxious to release the <br />property for sale (Lot 1, Block 1) and would like <br />Planning Commission to act on the application at this <br />time. She noted that if applicant was not agreeable to <br />staff's recommendation regarding the accessory <br />structures, the application would be brought back to the <br />PlaII^ -omission in April. <br />
