3.1 This item shall consist of furnishing all seed, fertilizer, mulch, netting, tabor, <br />and equipment required to prepare the seedbed, seed, fertilize, and mulch the critical <br />areas as described in Items 3.1 through 3.7. <br />3.2 Each site shall be seeded and mulched as soon as practical upon completion <br />of shaping and seedbed preparation. <br />3.3 All disturbed areas designated for seeding and mulching shall be shaped tc <br />uniform slope of 2:1 or flatter and seeded within 1 day after seeded preparation. <br />3.4 The fertilizer shall be applied at the following rates of available plant food per <br />acre: <br />Nitrogen (N) <br />Phosphoric Acid(P2O5) <br />Potash (K2O) <br />Ground Limestone <br />10C Ibs (2.3 Ibs/1000 sq ft) <br />100 Ibs (2.3 Ibs/1000 sq ft) <br />100 Ibs (2.3 Ibs/1000 sq ft) <br />3 Tons per Acre (14Q Ibs/1000 sq ft) <br />(as determined by soil test) <br />3.5 A minimum of 4 inches of topsoil shall be applied. Topsoil shall be friable, <br />loamy material (loam, sandy loam, silt loam, sandy clay loam or clay loam) and shall <br />be free of debris, trash, stumps, rocks, roots, noxious weeds or any substance <br />potentially toxic to plant growth. Topsoil shall have an organic matter content of not <br />less than 3% by weight and shall have a pH of 6.0-7.5. Topsoil containing soluble <br />salts greater than 500ppm shall not be used. <br />3 6 Seed shall conform to the quality requirements of Federal Specification ]]]-S- <br />181 and State of Minnesota seed laws. All seeding rates will be based on pure live <br />seed. <br />3.7 The following seed mixture and rates of pure live seed shall be used: <br />ecies PLS ibslac. Surface tillage to a depth of 2 inches <br />shall be done to incorporate the fertilizer and lime if needed as determined by soil <br />
