Payne, Assistant Director of Engineering <br />Dear Ray, <br />The following is our understanding of the . nditions for the <br />MWCC to construct alternative 3B of the Orono Minnetonka Beach <br />Interceptor project 86-51. <br />Orono will allow MWCC to construct a lift station in <br />City right-of-way adjacent to Hennepin County North Arm <br />boat landing. Lift station will be set at an elevation <br />to allow gravity flow from the west for future <br />elimination of City's lift station #10. <br />Orono will donate a permanent easement to MWCC for lift <br />station. <br />Orono will acquire temporary easement from property <br />owners to the west to allow construction of the lift <br />station. <br />Orono will accept maintenance of gravity sewer lines no <br />longer needed by MWCC. <br />Orono will accept maintenance of two grinder stations <br />constructed as a result of project 86-51. Grinder <br />stations shall be of the type specified by the City of <br />Orono. <br />Orono will contribute to MWCC $3,500 per year for 20 <br />years to offset the cost of placing the lift station at <br />a location requested by the City of Orono. <br />Orono will assist MWCC in the public hearing process. <br />MWCC must apply for the necessary conditional use <br />permits for the construction of Project 86-51 as <br />required in Orono zoning codes. <br />Sincerely; <br />Mark E.
