HAS <br />4MICROEIIMED <br />10�.- o • <br />City of ORONO <br />BF4[LUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. 1697 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A SPECIAL EXCEPTION <br />TO RURAL SEWAGE TREATMENT POLICY NO. 7 <br />OF ORONO'S COMPREHENSIVE SEWER POLICY <br />PERMITTING ONE SEWER CONNECTION FOR PROPOSED LOT <br />LOCATED AT 1200 OLD CRYSTAL BAY ROAD <br />WHEREAS, in 1980 the Council of the City of Orono <br />(hereafte-r "City") adopted the Orono Community Management Plan, <br />Chapter 6 of that plan, entittled the Comprehensive Sewer Policy <br />P1cn, set forth the City's many policies in dealing with future <br />development of the rural and urban areas of the City, defining <br />the urban service r.real of the• City and the Metropolitan Sewer <br />Service Area; and <br />WHEREAS, on September 26. 1984 the breckenridgF <br />Development Corporation (herea+ter ",1pplicant, ) filed a <br />subdivision application with the City involving a lot split of a <br />rural property legally described as Tact C, R.L.S. No. 1467 <br />(hereafter "property"); and <br />WHEREAS, the applicant prior to the filing of the <br />Subdivision rppl ic_ation formally requested of the MWCL a single <br />sewer c,:)nnect i on to an e:: i st i nq metro gravity line for the newly <br />created rural lot; .nd <br />WHEREAS, per the diter_tive of the MWCC the City Council <br />has cnn-�i dt:red the vppl icant 's request for a permit for a sewer <br />connection to a metro sewer line to serve a rural p-operty <br />located outside the Metropolitan Sewer E,e•rvice Area, the <br />recomendation of the Planning Commission and the comments of the <br />applicant. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that thu City Council of <br />the City of Orono hereby approves a Special e;ception to <br />Comprehensive Sewer Flan, Rural Sewncle Treatment Policy No. 7 to <br />allow a+. single sewer connection to an e;cistinq metro sewe.- line <br />+or a 2 + acre- rural lot propo�ied by the E<recl:enridgP Development <br />Lorporation because the fol1nwinq findings can be made: <br />Page 1 cif -_-� <br />
