UUkUL MEETING <br />TO: Mayor Grabek, I4AR 11 19H <br />Orono Council Members <br />Mark Bernhardson, City Administrator CITY OF ONUNO <br />FROM: John R. Gerhardson, Public Works Director <br />DATE: March 9, 1988 <br />SOSJECTs MWCC Interceptor Project 85-67 <br />On March 2, 1988 Metro Waste sponsored a meeting with the <br />business owners effected by the Metro Waste Interceptor Project <br />85-67. <br />The area of concern is from County Road 135 easterly to <br />Maxwell Bay Marina on County Road 51. <br />That section of road will b,• dosed for three months <br />starting in August 1988. <br />Of particular concern is access to their business. It was <br />resolved that Metro Waste will provide access by way of temporary <br />driveways. <br />On March 7, 1988 Metro Waste sponsored a meeting for the <br />balance of residents on the remainder of the project. <br />Item of concern by residents was access to properties, <br />private underground utilitys, noise and dust and length of time of <br />the project. <br />Metro waste representatives answered all questions stating <br />that they will do there beat to minimize the impact on the <br />residents during constructio,i and stated that they will have <br />representatives on the site at all times for complaints etc. As <br />stated earlier the project will began in August 1988 and be <br />completed in 1989. <br />Recommendation to accept the information as preeented and to <br />direct staff to monitor the construction so as to assure proper <br />procedures are followed.
