LMCCC Minutes <br />January 19, 1988 <br />Page Two <br />III. REPORTS - CONTINUED - ADMINISTRATIVE <br />Mark Ayotte of O'Connor S Hannan feels Dowden should have a <br />yearly budget for LMCCC for Miscellaneous Video expenditures. <br />Hansen is going to request a recap of Dowden's Video tape expenses. <br />Motion was then carried unanimously. <br />Motion 1.19.88.4: Just Claims: Olds moved, seconded by Hughes -Seamans, <br />to approve Just Claims (Appendix A) as amended for total claims to <br />be $5,643.29. Motion carried unanimously. <br />IV. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />Administrator Hansen vent over the annual budget report, Three (3) <br />funds for 1988 need to be established. The three (3) funds are <br />Legal, Technical Audit and Studio Equipment. <br />Motion 1.19.88.5. Anderson moved, seconded by Olds, to transfer <br />funds from 1987; $1,500.00 to Legal, $4,000.00 to Technical Audit <br />and $3,000.00 for Studio Equipment. Motion carried unanimously. <br />REPORTS WERE THEN CONTINUED: <br />B. DOWDEN <br />Mary Smith handed out here monthly report: <br />Connections 214 <br />Disconnects 99 <br />Smith reported that there was an outage in Shorewood, it affected <br />about 1,000 subscribers. The outage was due to equipment failure. <br />Smith stated that there are three (3) buyers interested in buying <br />Dovden, she will keep the Commission informed on any new updates. <br />Administrator Hansen asked Mary Smith the status of the agreement <br />for the designation of the P.E.G. (Public, Educational, and Govern- <br />mental) Channels. Smith stated that Tom Dowden will not sign the <br />agreement that was drawn up as he feels it is against Dowden's <br />1st Amendment rights. <br />REGIONAL CHANNEL UPDATE <br />Mary Smith handed out two (2) reports to the Commission (see Appendix <br />B). Smith stated that the Pillsbury Tower has been ruled out <br />due to the construction of the Norwest Bank building. <br />Another option to be looked at is an interconnect with Rogers <br />Cable System. Smith feels the signal could be half of what it <br />should be, therefore it would not be a clear picture. <br />VI. ADJOURNMENT <br />Motion 1.19.88.6: Olds moved, seconded by Johnson, to adjourn <br />the January 19, 1988 meeting at 6:30 p.m. Motion carried unanimously. <br />-2- <br />
