Planning & Zoning Administrator <br />Date: February 22, 1988 <br />Subject: Alternative Waste Management Study, Stubbs Bay Area <br />The Orono Comprehensive Sewer Policy Plan (Chapter 6 of the <br />Community Management ^lan.l states in Policy No. 11 under "Mural <br />Sewage Treatment Policies', that an Alternative Waste Management <br />Stuc.Y is to be undertaken when multiple on -site system <br />deficiei !s occur in one of the existing isolated pockets of <br />development in the rural service area. Through an invercory and <br />analysis process, optional solutions to sewage treatment problems <br />],lust be reviewed on both technical and economic bases, and <br />extension of municipal sewers should occur only if other options <br />&.ce fo4nd to be infeasible. This report is presented to you as a <br />f.rma% Alternative Waste Management Study, addressing the <br />fea-Itility of alternative sewage treatment options in the Stubbs <br />..ay area. <br />
