MINUTES OF THE RBGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 8, 1988 <br />DISPOSAL OF EXCESS PROPERTY* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Sime, seconded by <br />Councilmember Peterson, to declare fc�. individual <br />police department car top emergency tight bars as <br />surplus municipal property; said light bars are valued <br />at no more than $50.00 each, and the City Administrator <br />is hereby authorized to dispose of said property through <br />negotiated sales. Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />STEP INCREASE - OFFICERS ANDERSON AND ENGLISH* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Sime, seconded by <br />Councilmember Peterson, that the Orono City Council <br />approves the increase in vacation accrual from 120 hours <br />per year to 144 hours per year for Bruce Anderson <br />effective March 1, 1988; and increase in the hourly wage <br />rate for Chip English from $13.645 to $15.161, in <br />accordance with the 1987 contract, effective February <br />11, 1988. Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />ADMINISTRATOR'S INFORMATION* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Sime, seconded by <br />Councilmember Peterson, to accept City Administrator <br />Bernhardon's information regarding: 3405 shoreline <br />Drive, 200 Hollander Road, Big Island Board of <br />Governors, Lake Finnetonka Conservation District - <br />Metropolitan Council Analysis, and Goal Setting. <br />Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />CITY ATTORNEYS REPORT: <br />City Attorney Barrett requested an Executive Session at <br />this time. <br />LICENSES - <br />RESOLUTIONS #2367 - #2374 <br />Mayor Grabek withdrew from participation with the <br />Council on this matter due to his membership in the <br />Forest Arms Homeowners Association which is requesting a <br />Joint Use Dock License. He referred to Acting Mayor <br />Callahan for this matter. <br />It was moved by Councilmember Sime, seconded by <br />Councilmember Peterson, to approve the following <br />licenses: <br />Solicitor's License - Discount Flowers <br />Cigarettc License - Lakeview Golf Course <br />Residential Kennel Licenses - <br />Frank Yusup, 2220 French Creek Circle <br />Michael 6 Marilyn Pickard, 4607 Watertown Rd. <br />Maxwell F. Alvord, 960 North grown Rd. <br />Robert S. Waag, 4760 West Branch Rd. <br />Frink & Sue Kokesh, 4100 Watertown Pd. <br />N <br />
