.� . � � � Clt� of ORONO RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL • NO. 1256 • - • • RESOLUTION DECLARINC ADE�UACY OF PETITION AND ORDERING SEWER F.EASIBILITY REPORT FOR THE NORTH SHORE DRIVE/HIrHWOOD AREA WHEREAS, a certain petition has been received by the City Clerk on March 13, 1981, and filed with the City Council on March 23 , 1981; and WHEREAS, said petition requests that the City under- take a study to determine the costs and feasibility of installing sanitary sewer to serve properties located along the north side of North Shore Drive between North Arm Drive and Park Drive in the City of Orono; located on the attached map as lots 62 through 77 inclusive, Highwood lake Minnetonka; and • WHEREAS, said petition is signed by three owners of property affected thereby, which three owners constitute 750 of the affected homeowners and 430 of the affected property owners; and wHEREAS, the area in which sewer service is proposed is within the Metropolitan Urban Service Area and is identified in the Comprehensive Sewer Policy Plan as an unsewered pocket of existing development for which the City has planned future sewer service. NO'va, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota: l. The above mentioned petition is hereby declared to be signed by more than 35� of the owners of property affected thereby. This declaration is made in con- formity with Minnesota statutes, Section 429.035. 2. The above mentioned petition is hereby referred to the City Engineer and he is instructed to report to the Council with all convenient speed advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement is feasible and as to whether it should be best be made as a separate project or in connection • with some other improvement, and the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended.
