.� . � <br /> � <br /> � Clt� of ORONO <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> • <br /> NO. 1256 <br /> • - • • <br /> RESOLUTION DECLARINC ADE�UACY OF PETITION <br /> AND ORDERING SEWER F.EASIBILITY REPORT <br /> FOR THE NORTH SHORE DRIVE/HIrHWOOD AREA <br /> WHEREAS, a certain petition has been received by the <br /> City Clerk on March 13, 1981, and filed with the City Council <br /> on March 23 , 1981; and <br /> WHEREAS, said petition requests that the City under- <br /> take a study to determine the costs and feasibility of installing <br /> sanitary sewer to serve properties located along the north <br /> side of North Shore Drive between North Arm Drive and Park <br /> Drive in the City of Orono; located on the attached map as <br /> lots 62 through 77 inclusive, Highwood lake Minnetonka; and <br /> • WHEREAS, said petition is signed by three owners <br /> of property affected thereby, which three owners constitute <br /> 750 of the affected homeowners and 430 of the affected property <br /> owners; and <br /> wHEREAS, the area in which sewer service is proposed <br /> is within the Metropolitan Urban Service Area and is identified <br /> in the Comprehensive Sewer Policy Plan as an unsewered pocket <br /> of existing development for which the City has planned future <br /> sewer service. <br /> NO'va, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council <br /> of the City of Orono, Minnesota: <br /> l. The above mentioned petition is hereby declared to <br /> be signed by more than 35� of the owners of property <br /> affected thereby. This declaration is made in con- <br /> formity with Minnesota statutes, Section 429.035. <br /> 2. The above mentioned petition is hereby referred to <br /> the City Engineer and he is instructed to report to <br /> the Council with all convenient speed advising the <br /> Council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed <br /> improvement is feasible and as to whether it should <br /> be best be made as a separate project or in connection <br /> • with some other improvement, and the estimated cost <br /> of the improvement as recommended. <br /> PAGE 1 OF 2 <br />
