Consideration of agreement between the City of Orono <br />and Hennepin County regarding adoption of resolution and <br />the agreement. <br />INTRODUCTION - At the Counci l's January 11, 1988 ing Ftaft <br />presented the outstanding issues that were needed as part of the <br />Council's adoption of the County 15 agreement. <br />DISCU!!7TON - Of the <br />four issur <br />two of them that <br />related to <br />payment schedule and <br />special assessments of County property <br />had <br />bees resol ,,ed prior <br />to them last <br />foeeting. The County <br />had agreed <br />to tiie schedul of payments and <br />had deleted County <br />properties <br />from the City's share <br />of the costs. <br />AS for the other <br />issues: <br />a. Damages - The County has agreed to amend the language <br />to that requested by the City Attorney. <br />L. City Acceptance of Sidewalks - As noted in Attachment <br />tfe County has given the City a letter regarding its <br />riq'hts of inspection under the contract. while this <br />doe3 not provide the full right hoped for, the County <br />inspections have been very rigorous and the City does <br />understarl the County's need to have only one <br />administrator of the contract. If Orono had the full <br />right of inspection there would effectively be two. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />1. Approve attached as modified as stated above <br />2. Amend and approve <br />3. Table <br />RECOMMENDATION - It is recommended that the Counci 1 ado- ` the <br />aiEiched resolution agreement as amended. <br />PROPOSED MOTION - Moved by , seconded by , that the Council <br />adopt resolution 0 and approve the terms for an amended <br />agreement between Hennepin County and the City of Orono.
