City of ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. <br />A RESOLUTION ORDERING ABATEMENT <br />OF HAZARDOUS BUILDING ACTION AT <br />3877 SHORELINE DRIVE, ORONO <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono is a municipal corporation organized <br />and existing under the laws of the State of Minnesota; and <br />WHEREAS, Louis R. Oberhauser, 2425 Dunwoody Avenue, Wayzata, <br />Minnesota 55391 is the fee owner of record of property located at 3877 <br />Shoreline Drive, Orono Minnesota, and legally described as follows: <br />Property Identificati.n Number: 20-117-23 22 0006 <br />Commencing at a point in the North line of Lot 1 distance 163 feet <br />West from the Northeast corner of Lot 2 thence West along North line <br />of Lot 1 distance 73.01 feet thence Southwesterly at an angle to the <br />.left of 63 degrees 14 minutes a distance of 123.02 feet to lake shore <br />thence Southeasterly along lake shore 37.77 feet thence Northeasterly <br />161 feet to beginning, Lots 1 and 2 Block 8, Townsite of Langdon Park, <br />Orono, Hennepin County, Minnesota, (hereinafter "the property"); and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Orono, having duly <br />considered the matter pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Sections 463.15 to <br />463.261, hereby finds that the above described property is uninhabitable <br />and contains unsanitary and hazardous conditions which constitute a public <br />nuisance and which makes this property hazardous to the public health, <br />safety and welfare based on the following findings: <br />INTERIOR <br />1. Partial Basement: wall cra(,ked, windows covered with plastic - <br />UBC 2906 - 2907. <br />2. Basement Stairs: headroom 516" maximum; stair tread missing <br />bottom. UBC 3306 (c) & (q) . <br />ct <br />3. Fusea (two): over current pr ction not enough - NFPA 70 Art <br />240.4. <br />4. 60 amp service not sufficient size service - NFPA 70 Art 230-79. <br />5. Wiring Type: extention cords used for permanent wiring, are a <br />fire hazard per UFC 85.107. <br />6. Light Fixtures: ceiling lighting fixture not provided or <br />inoperable - NFPA 70 Art 210-70 (a). <br />7.
