MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD JANUARY 11, 1988 <br />JOINT POLICE ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING <br />Council accepted the information regarding the upcoming <br />Joint Police Advisory Committee meeting on January 13, <br />1988. <br />RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION - KATHI.= BLATZ <br />RESOLUTION #2340 <br />It was moved by Mayor Grabek, seconded by Councilmember <br />Sime, that the Council adopt Resolution 12340 expressing <br />its gratitude to Kathleen Blatz for her work as the City <br />Attorney. Motion, Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />SNOWMOBILE ACCIDENT ON LUCE LINE <br />Councilmember Sime requested <br />proposed recommendation to <br />Luce Line Trail by motorize) <br />snowmobiles were permitted <br />Bay Road and prohibited on 1 <br />Road. <br />clarification regarding the <br />reduce utilization of the <br />vehicles. Motion, <br />Ayes 4,Nays 0. <br />PURCHASE OF POLICE CARS* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Sime, seconded by <br />Councilmember Callahan, to approve the purchase of two <br />squad cars as budgeted. Bid award under Hennepin County <br />contract $8,511 to Thane Hawkins Polar Chevrolet with <br />the total purchase price not to exceed $23,504.00 <br />Motion, Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />COMMEMORATIVE RESOLUTION - PRANK MROSS* <br />RESOLUTION #2341 <br />It was moved by Councilmember Sime, seconded by <br />Councilmember Callahan, that the City Council adopt <br />Resolution #2341 commemorating the many years of service <br />by Frank Mross. Motion, Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />STEP INCREASE - OFFICER JAMES CORNICK* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Sime, seconded by <br />Counci lmember Callahan, to approve step increase from <br />$2,102.00 to $2,365.00 for Officer James Cornick in <br />accordance with the Police Labor Agreement.
