City of ORONO <br />R <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. <br />e-o o <br />8. Windows - screens are rusting away from no maintenance. <br />9. Roof - in poor condition - based on edges, not acceptable per UBC <br />3202 (a). <br />10. Soffits - rotting away from no maintenance. <br />11. Accessory buildings: small shed i.s collapsing and rotten. It is <br />also open to the public, not acceptable per UBC 203. <br />12. General site - retaining walls are structurally failing and there <br />are no footings, not acceptable per UBC 2907 (a). <br />PLUMBING <br />13. Gas piping - shut off at ureter because of leak. <br />14. Waste and vents - no access to interior. <br />15. Heating facilities - ther s none. No gas at this time as it is <br />shut off at the meter. <br />Building is in a state of deterioration and dilav-idation, thus it <br />is a safety and health hazard pursuant to Minnesot, --fate Building <br />Code/Uniform Building Code, Section 203. <br />Orders to remove or repair the structure were issued by the <br />Building Official on October 17, 1986, December 24, 1987 and January 8, <br />1988. These orders have not been complied with. <br />NOW, THMUWORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows: <br />1. That the City Council of the City of Orono, pursuant to State <br />Statute 463.251, hereby orderf :he owner(s) to board -up and secure the <br />structure within ten (10) days. The City Council further orders that <br />unless corrective act9on is taken within ten (10) days from the date <br />of service of this order, it will result in the City properly securirj <br />the building and the cost thereof will be charged against the real <br />estate as provided in State Statute Section 463.21. <br />2. The City Council of the City of Crono, pursuant to the foregoing <br />findings and 'An accordance with Minnesota Statutes Sections 463.15 to <br />463.261 hereby orders the owner(s) of the property to make the <br />following repairs in order -o correct the hazardous condition: <br />Page 2 of 4 <br />
