AGENDA ITEM <br />Date: August 11, 2025 <br />Title: Fireworks Display, SEP25-000008 - August 20 <br />Presenter: Christine Lusian, City Clerk <br />Section: Consent Agenda <br />Item: 4 <br />Purpose: <br />The purpose of this action item is to review fireworks display plans for Special Event Permit 25- <br />000008. <br />2. License Applicant(s): <br />City code section 66-224(d) and (f)(2) requires city council review of special events requesting the <br />use of city land and involving fireworks. <br />RES Pyro completed an application to launch fireworks Wednesday, August 20 from a floating <br />platform for a class reunion at 1500 Brackett's Point Road. The fireworks will launch at lOpm <br />from the water south of Brackett's Point between Smith and Browns Bays. Plans included with the <br />application are attached. <br />3. Staff Recommendation: <br />Staff from Administration, Community Development, Fire, Parks, and Police have reviewed and <br />approved the application. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Review the fireworks display plans. <br />Exhibits <br />A.
