I <br /> � RESOLUTION # 1241 <br /> A RESOLUTION DECLINING PARTICIPATION IN THE <br /> LEAGUE OF MINNESOTA CITIES ' BUILDING PROGRAM <br /> WHEREAS, the League of Minnesota Cities has requested <br /> participating member cities to commit their constituents to a <br /> proposed building program for a new office building in excess <br /> of $1, 000 ,000 , and <br /> WHEREAS, the League of Minnesota Cities has calculated <br /> an annual debt amount will be approximately $106 , 000 , plus <br /> operating costs, and <br /> WHEREAS, the League of Minnesota Cities has requested <br /> member cities to choose an option payment plan which will increase <br /> the financial debt for the member cities, and <br /> WHEREAS, due to deteriation of state and local revenues, <br /> any additional assessments to the City of Orono would create a <br /> financial hardship, and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Orono, as well as other participating <br /> cities hav <br /> e been notified b the State of Minnesota of a reduction <br /> Y <br /> in state and federal aids. <br /> • NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the <br /> City of Orono, Minnesota declines to participate in the proposed <br /> building program for the League of Minnesota Cities. <br /> Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota at a <br /> regular meeting held January 12 , 1981 . <br /> ,, <br /> � r � <br /> / 'I G L <br /> ill �am B.
