Gerhardson, Public Works Director <br />NOV 13 1989 <br />Date: October 26, 1989 c' <br />Subject: Bridge Bonding Program - Old Crystal Bay Road jirVV <br />dcf ORONC <br />#90653 <br />In July 1989 the City Council approved Resolution #2662 <br />prioritizing and requesting funding for bridge replacement in the <br />City of Orono. <br />Due to the time involvement, it is necessary to begin the <br />process for replacement of the bridge over the Burlington <br />Northern Railroad on Old Crystal Bay Road (#1 priority). <br />Recommendation - To direct the City Engineer to prepare plans and <br />specifications for replacement of the Old Crystal Bay Road <br />Bridge. <br />Proposed Motion - Moved by , seconded by , to direct the <br />City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for replacement <br />of the Old Crystal Bay Bridge. The total project is estimated to be $610,000 <br />including engineering. The State is expected to fu.-d $420,000, <br />$175,000 from the City's MSA with City having to fund $15,C�19 <br />from other sources. It will take approximately two years f. om <br />submission of plans and specifications for the City to receive <br />authorization to undertake the project. <br />
