IF YES, IDENTIFY WATER BODY AND APPLICABLE STATE CLASSIFICATION(S), AND DESCRIBE <br />MEASURES TO PROTECT WATER AND RELATED LAND RESOURCES: <br />Elm Creek Watershed Flood Plain <br />Minnehaha Creek Watershed Flood Plain <br />Minimum elevation for the new roadway will be at least 3 feet above the 100 year <br />flood elevation at eacr location. Drainage culverts shall be large enough as to <br />not impede the natural flow of surface water under the roadway. <br />19. DESCRIBE ANY PHYSICAL ALTERATION (E.G., DIKES, EXCAVATION, FILL, STREAM DIVERSION) <br />OF ANY DRAINAGE SYSTEM, LAKE, STREAM, AND/OR WETLAND. DESCRIBE MEASURES TO <br />MINIMIZE IMPAIRMENT OF THE WATER -RELATED RESOURCES. ESTIMATE QUANTITY OF MATERIAL <br />TO BE DREDGED AND INDICATE WHERE SPOILS WILL BE DEPOSITED. <br />Approximately 600 C.Y. of material could be removed from Wetland No. 4r which is <br />approximately 2,300 feet southerly of Hamel Road. An additional 1,400 C.Y. of <br />material could be removed from Crosby Creek, a Type 2 wetland located approxi- <br />mately feet southerly of CSAH 24. An alternative which is under considera- <br />tion is the use of fal,ric in the roadbed. This would significantly reduce or <br />eliminate altogether the need to remove soils. <br />Drainage cul�,ctLt; will be used, when necessary, to continue the natural flow in <br />these areas. <br />Deposit of ary excess materials will be done in accordance with the Department of <br />Natural Resources and Army Corps of Engineers regulations. <br />20. a.
