ORDINANCE i , SBWXD SERIES <br />AN ORDINANCE AMExDING THE ORONO <br />MUNICIPAL CODE BY RBGULATIMG <br />THE LOCATION, AREA, AND HEIGHT OF LA -GE <br />ACCESSORY STRUCTURES <br />The City Council of Orono ordains as follows: <br />SECTION 1. Chapter 10 of the Municipal Code of Orono is hereby <br />amended by repealing Section 10.03, Subdivision 9 (C) and adding <br />a new Section 10.03, Subdivision 9 (C) to read as follows: <br />C. Area Restrictions. In all "R" districts no accessory <br />building shall exceed 1,000 square feet of footprint area <br />except that accessory structures in excess of 1,000 square <br />feet will be allowed under the following conditions: <br />1. Not more than one Oversized Accr *,ory Structure <br />(OAS) shall be permitted on any propperty. An <br />"Oversized Accessory Structure" is defused as an <br />accessory structure of footprint area in excess of <br />1,000 square feet, except that the following non -roofed <br />accessory structures which exceed 1,000 s.f. footprint <br />area are not considered as "Oversize Accessory <br />Structures", but are subject to the special setback <br />restrictions of Section 10.03, Subdivision 14 (D): <br />- Tennis courts <br />- Pools, when pool basin structure iexcluding non - <br />encroachment -type patios) is greater than <br />1,000 s.f. <br />- Paddocks or arenas <br />2.
